Making Mother's Day Unforgettable with H&M

When H&M approached us, we knew we had a mammoth task ahead—celebrate Mother's Day and reward their loyal customers across the United States with an experiential pop-up like no other!

They wanted to step up their game from previous years of low-cost, low-effort activations, and we were determined to make their Mother's Day dreams come true.

With dates set for the magical weekend of May 13th and 14th, and key locations like New York's Herald Square, Washington DC's Georgetown Park, and Austin, Texas's The Domain, we were ready to rock and roll!

The objective? Surprise and delight moms and families shopping in-store while providing essential information about H&M's loyalty program. A challenge worthy of a superhero squad, and we were more than up for it!

Building Up Excitement

‎H&M MOTHERS DAY WRAP PRESENTATION

We knew the lead-up to Mother's Day had to be a crescendo of excitement. We decked each store entrance with eye-catching promotional material on their security gates and peppered the store with sandwich board posters in key areas, especially the delightful kids section, building anticipation for what was to come. H&M customers across the US were about to witness a Mother's Day celebration like no other, and we made sure they felt the buzz from miles away!

Capturing Moments of Love

No Mother's Day celebration is complete without capturing those special moments. So, we pulled out all the stops and created an enchanting Photo Booth, where customers and shoppers could step into a giant life-sized Mother's Day Card and get their picture taken!

With a sprinkle of photo magic from our partners at Snappy & Pixter, each participant got to approve their photos before receiving a digital and print-out version of their cherished memory.

With recycled materials keeping our eco-conscious mission alive and QR codes guiding the way to the Mother's Day Contest Page, we had moms feeling like true VIPs! To top it off, brand ambassadors dressed in key pieces from the current collection to discuss the line with shoppers and encourage purchases.

Blooming with Love

Hana Form, the artist with the Midas touch, helped us bring the concept to life with stunning giant paper flowers that enchanted every corner of the activation. Each bespoke paper sculpture was handcrafted with love, making them sophisticated works of art that set the stage for a magical Mother's Day.

The flower cart and pedestals showcased fresh blooms and adorable mini bouquets made from a mix of dried, colorful baby's breath—after all, what's a Mother's Day celebration without flowers?

Showering Mother’s With Love & Prizes

What's a celebration without gifts and surprises? For our beloved loyalty members spending over $25 throughout Mother's Day Weekend, we showered them with a complimentary Mother's Day Card to hold their precious printed picture. But wait, there's more!

We gave them a chance to win a gift basket filled with over $100 worth of H&M's favorite home and beauty items. The contest was on, and 10 lucky winners were selected at random, basking in the glory of their fabulous prizes in the weeks that followed.

The activation was an absolute hit! We received an overflow of positive feedback from customers and staff alike. The numbers don't lie—nearly 30K impressions, 2.3K engagements, and 1.3K sessions—H&M's Mother's Day activation took the United States by storm!

We were over the moon to have created a celebration that warmed hearts and spread joy far and wide.
